Miss Bear

Miss Bear

Name: Miss Bear

Age: 4.5 years

Gender: Female

Bio:

Meet Miss Bear!
Bear may be small in height but she is gorgeous and well built! She is a very sweet girl who knows her own mind but loves a good cuddle too (and kisses–don’t forget the kisses).
While we don’t know much about her past we know she has been a puppy making machine and those days are now far behind her. She is doing very well at K9 Heaven and loves hanging with the other doggies. She is a typical strong willed female so will tell off any dog that annoys her but otherwise happy go lucky.
Miss Bear while sweet would be best suited in a home with older kids as she they will need to know the rules around her. She also has a strong prey drive, so is unlikely to be good with cats or stock.
Miss Bear will need experienced owners who will spend the time training her and showing her what a good life really is!

Little Abbie

Little Abbie

Name: Abbie

Age: 3 years old

Gender: Female

Bio:

This poor girl has been thrown from pillar to post a bit. Originally bought to be a companion dog in a rest home however she was too full of beans. The next owner got her for breeding (she’s had one litter) however as she is a high energy dog he doesn’t want her. Luckily a kind lady stepped in and convinced him to hand her over to us.
Abbie is a small girl with good proportions and she is a very sweet smoochy dog, just loves cuddles. Will chase cats and learning to interact with other dogs as she has never really been socialised. Her only interaction was for breeding so when a dog plays she doesn’t realise what it is. Never been around kids but she is not aggressive so older kids (above her head height) will be fine.
The team at K9 Heaven are doing an amazing job with her and she is starting to understand play and learn some manners.
She needs someone willing to put some basic training work into her and you will be rewarded with the sweetest dog.
Like any Rottie cuddles are a must!

Sammy

Sammy

Name: Sammy

Age: 22 months

Gender: Male

Bio:

Poor Sammy is back with us after his new home decided to drop him off for boarding and not pick him up (don’t get me started on that one!!).
So our sweet Sammy has had a rough start and yet is such a sweet gentle snuggle bug! Our fabulous trainer has been doing lots of work with him so he will need to stay in Auckland and continue the training as we integrate him into his new home.
We don’t know a lot about our gorgeous boy but we do know he loves cuddles and playing with other dogs (however doesn’t like other Rottweilers!) and just loves kids. He has fitted right in with the pack at K9 Heaven and enjoys his one on one training.
As with any Rottweiler he will need an experienced owner who makes sure he knows correct boundaries.
Sammy would suit a home with dog-savvy kids due to his size and energy levels. No cats or stock.

Ralph

Ralph, looking to retire

Name: Ralph

Age: 10.5 years

Gender: Male

Bio:

Sadly the gorgeous Ralph is up for adoption in his twilight years.
His owners have had a change in working & living arrangements which means he needs to live outside and doesn’t get much company as a result.
They would love for Ralph to have a sweet loving warm retirement being an inside dog with lots of love and cuddles which he sure does deserve.
Ralph has had a vet check (with owners) and appears to be in great health. Don’t let the age fool you if he’s anything our permanent foster Corey (11-12yrs old) he’s still full of life!
Not good with cats or high energy dogs who may be annoying.  Likes to be left in peace with food or a bone but otherwise a good boy
Good with older kids.
Adoption fees will apply.

Riley

Riley

Name: Riley

Age: 3 years 10 months (approx)

Gender: Male

Bio:

Riley is a gentle giant who has been brought up in a kind loving family however due to circumstances beyond the owners control he is being put up for adoption.
Riley weighs in at a healthy 65kg so will need to go to an experienced owner as there are conditions with this boy.

He loves nothing more than snuggling up with his puddy cat friends and grooming them whenever he likes. Gets on well with other dogs but not too keen on some German Shepherds for some reason. Riley has been raised around kids however due to size we would only consider older kids. Great with most people and he absolutely adores the water and having a bath so trips to the beach or a swim in the pool are a must on a hot summers day—or any day for that matter.

Riley knows his commands well and has a few tricks up his paw. He really is a big smoochball, in fact he loves nothing more than a cuddle and a massage too please if they are going spare.
There are restrictions with Riley so please get in touch with your completed form to learn more.

Zoe

Beautiful Zoe

Name: Zoe

Age: 2 years (approx)

Gender: Female

Bio:

Beautiful Zoe.
We don’t know a lot about this sweetheart but what we do know is owner passed away and the family couldn’t keep her so she was surrendered to a pound down the line. They contacted us as she is so sweet and they know she will get snapped up but want her in an experienced home.
She is clearly an inside dog as went home with one of the Animal Control Officers (ACO) and was not having outside sleeps thank you!
Zoe is great with other dogs as tried in the pound and with the ACO. As we find out more about her and get better pics we will update the post.
Adoption fees will apply.

Roxy

Rockin’ Roxy

Name: Roxy

Age: 4.5 years

Gender: Female

Bio:

Meet the beautiful Roxy!
Sadly Roxy’s Mum & Dad have high work demands which means they don’t have as much time for this sweet girl so have made the sensible but heart-breaking decision to rehome her.
For those of you who follow Instagram and the gorgeous Digby, well meet Digby’s Mum!
Roxy is a lovely girl with a sound temperament but is a typical Rottie at heart.
Roxy is best suited to an adult family as has never been tried around kids and is not good with cats or livestock.
As any Rottie does Roxy adores her cuddles and hanging with the family. She loves walks in the bush, is great off lead (with current owners and maybe eventually with new ones) and is great with other dogs once properly introduced.

Boyboy (now Tama)

Stunning Boy

Name: Boyboy (now Tama)

Age: 3 /4 years

Gender: Male

Bio:

Sadly Boyboy’s Dad passed away and he was left to a lovely family who just can’t put the time and effort into him that he needs.
Not a lot is know about his overall background other than his Dad loved him like no other and the affection was certainly reciprocated. Has been around dogs his own size but plays a bit rough–may settle once desexed.
Boyboy has been around older kids so recommend 10yrs+ but not good with cats!
Boyboy loves hugs (show me a Rottie who doesn’t), play fighting and fetch on his terms of course. Absolutely loves being groomed with a good bath and brush
Doesn’t like a chain around his neck (good lad they are icky things) or being left alone so seems like Boyboy would make a great work buddy for someone.
This stunning boy needs someone who will put the work and effort into him. He’s sad and through no-ones fault just doesn’t know where he belongs. He will be coming to Auckland so we can do some work with him and make sure he understands what it takes to be a good boy before heading to his forever home.

Cookie

Cookie

Name: Cookie

Age: 16 months

Gender: Female

Bio:

Cookie is a sweet girl who would suit a family who are at home most of the time or for someone to take her to work with them as she doesn’t like being alone. Cookie is young so would benefit from some further training and would love a doggie companion which would help with her loneliness without humans about.
She like to go on walks, playing, snuggling up and sitting next to the fireplace on a cold winters night.
Car rides with trips to the dog park are fun and the beach is awesome if there are no waves. Cookie LOVES getting new toys, being brushed and she’s good when she has a bath. Relaxing in the sun, playing fetch and getting loads of attention are a must!
She doesn’t like to be alone, getting her nails cut or loud noises and just loves to be your shadow. Not good with cats.
Best suited to a home with older kids due to her age.

Ana (aka ‘Arnie’)

Ana (aka Arnie)

Name: Ana (aka ‘Arnie’)

Age: 3 years old

Gender: Female

Bio:

Meet the pretty Arnie! Arnie is being rehomed with her “brother” Django however they don’t need to go together. Arnie would do well with another dog but wouldn’t mind being an only spoilt fur baby!
Arnie has “cloth ear” syndrome so when there are other dogs to play with or food to eat the ears turn off!
She is however a super smoochy girl who loves food, cuddles and affection.
Not good with cats or livestock but did we mention she loves humans? and cuddles? and affection? Want a snuggle bug? Meet our Arnie

Has been raised with kids but would suit being in a family with kids aged 8+
